I am a graduate student studying in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I started my university career at East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China. After my undergraduate study I continued my master training on Cartography and Geographical Information System in ECNU and received my master degree in Spring 2013 when before I came to the Department of Atmospheric Sciences (DAS) at UIUC. Now I am on my Ph.D track in atmospheric science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research interest focuses on land surface modeling and the interaction between atmosphere and land-ocean ecosystem on both physical and chemical aspects. Now I work with Professor Atul Jain using a state-of-the-art land surface and integrated assessment model ISAM to reveal the mechanism and potential hazard of human induced climate change. More details can be found on my research page.

My research interest is to quantify current climate change and potential human influences on current climate pattern. As holding the biggest uncertainty in our Earth system, land surface is the main part human-induced forcing sources on climate system. Modeling land surface processes from physical, chemical and human-dimensional perspectives is a hard though very interesting research topic.
