RESEARCH INTERESTS

    • Computational models of behavior, such as Cyberslug and ASIMOV, built on core circuitry of approach/avoidance decision. I am expanding ASIMOV further for more complex spatial learning and memory, and more abstract cognitive mapping.
    • Models of memory and neuroplasticity, such as SITDL, including simplest architectures for episodic memory and path integration, and their application to artificial intelligence.
    • Octopus behavioral and physiological studies for CyberOctopus collaborative project, as well as modeling of octopus arm circuitry and 3D octopus environments. Demo of octopus hypnosis and arm electrode implantation (and BioRxiv preprint):
