Shashank Gaur, Ph.D.

Shashank Gaur is an alumnus (Ph.D. 2017) of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his Ph.D. in Food Science and Human Nutrition under the supervision of Dr. Juan Andrade. Shashank is a native of Rajasthan, India and received his bachelors’ degree in Food Technology from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, India in the year 2010. Immediately after his undergrad, he moved to the United States to pursue a dual degree program and received his masters’ degrees from Cornell University, US and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India in the year 2012. Shashank worked as an Assistant Professor at Kamdhenu University and ISO auditor at Dudhsagar Dairy, India for a year, before joining the Ph.D. program at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the year 2013. He worked as a Researcher, Product Development at Abbott Nutrition from Jan 2015 to May 2017.

He currently works as Vice President, Innovations and Product Introduction at Elmhurst Milked, Elma, NY.
