Boss of the Year/Office Professional of the Year

2016:

Bosses Recognition and Boss of the Year Committee

The Bosses Recognition and Boss of the Year luncheon was held on Oct. 19, 2016.  The luncheon was attended by 11 bosses and 22 members.  Two members submitted a nomination for the 2016 Secretariat Boss of the Year award.  Rebecca Nash, Administrative Assistant, College of Fine & Applied Arts, nominated her boss, Acting Dean, Kathleen Harleman and Colleen Hammel, Office Administrator, College of Media, nominated her boss, Associate Dean, Marlah Bonner-McDuffie.  A portion of each nomination letter was read to the attendees and the 2016 winner, chosen by the Bosses Recognition and Boss of the Year committee was announced. Marlah Bonner-McDuffie was chosen as winner of the Secretariat’s Boss of the Year award for 2016.  Marlah was called out of town at the last minute but was able to participate in the award portion of the program via conference phone.

The committee worked hard to recognize all the bosses that attended the lunch and each boss received a small gift.

U of I News Bureau announced the boss of the year winner and nominee on their website.  See link for this information.  https://news.illinois.edu/blog/view/6367/427453
