Minority Enrichment Program at Urbana High School needs tutors!

We have a big need for tutors in our Minority Enrichment Program at UHS.  Brigitte has done a great job of getting our UHS students to come in for lunch hour tutoring but she doesn’t have any help during 4th hour. Fourth hour is from 10:42-11:36 M,T,TH,F and 10:15-11:09 on W.  The MEP Program was started to provide extra support for minority students in upper level classes. This focus continues although any student may come in for tutoring help.  Currently, there are quite a few students who are looking for tutoring during their fourth hour lunch but no tutors available. Help in math is the greatest need.

SEA Teacher Conference

The attached flyer outlines a preservice teacher conference hosted by the Student Education Association here on campus.

The conference would be beneficial to any teacher candidate across our certification programs on campus.  Give yourself the chance to get some professional development as well as networking opportunities.
