NCSA is looking for Illinois undergraduate students who have big ideas and the creativity, skill, and drive needed to bring them to life.
Join NCSA from 4 to 6 pm Oct. 24 for NCSA SPIN (Students Pushing Innovation). Meet with NCSA staff and learn more about their research and areas of expertise, such as high-performance computational modeling, big data, 3D visualization, and more. Free snacks will be provided.
NCSA offering up to 15 paid innovation fellowships—selected students will work with NCSA mentors during the Spring 2013 semester on projects related to the center’s interests and areas of expertise. Fellowship proposals are due Nov. 9.

Beauty Beneath the Dirt Film Screening & Leadership Workshop
Katherine Imp, a University of Illinois College of Law alum, will be hosting a leadership workshop on campus next Thursday, Oct. 18. Katherine will also be on campus that day to screen her award-winning documentary feature, Beauty Beneath the Dirt.
What do the Fab Lab, an online collection of Japanese woodblock prints, and CU Wiki.net have in common? Your students can learn about these projects and other topics of interest to library and information science this Friday, October 19 at GSLIS in a Flash!
