Present your work at Inclusive Illinois

The College of Education is pleased to be joining forces with the Colleges of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES); Applied Health Sciences (AHS); Business; and Fine and Applied Arts to recognize and celebrate Inclusive Illinois Day on September 19th. As part of our celebration we would like to invite students in our college to share academic work related to the mission of the Inclusive Illinois initiative: “Inclusive Illinois, one campus, many voices, is the University’s commitment to cultivating a community at Illinois where everyone is welcomed, celebrated, and respected. Through education, engagement, and excellence, each voice creates the Inclusive Illinois Experience.”

There are two ways for you to share your work:

  • If you have completed academic work related to access, equity, inclusion, or identity that connects with the Inclusive Illinois mission, please consider participating in the South Quad Colleges’ Inclusive Illinois Day events by presenting a poster of your research. Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to participate. If you would like to present, please tell us about yourself and your work at the following link no later than September 12th: http://go.illinois.edu/southquadinclusiveillinois. Posters will be set-up at 10:45 a.m. on September 19th and will be displayed from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • There will be a juried art exhibition accompanying the event.  If you have completed art work related to access, equity, inclusion, or identity that connects with the Inclusive Illinois mission, please consider participating in the South Quad Colleges’ Inclusive Illinois Day event. Art work will be set-up at 10:45 a.m. on September 19th and displayed from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is outdoors under a tent. Consequently we will allow prints of work to be displayed rather than the original. To submit work for consideration, send a jpeg of the piece to mplante@illinois.edu no later than September 12th.  Selected artists will be notified by Monday, September 17.
