Reliable Control Flooding

The functionality of a sizable cognitive radio network depends on whether the users can receive control commands from other users.  For example, by agreeing on a sensing schedule, users can allocate different radios to sense different frequency bands, thereby obtaining the frequency usage across a much wider bandwidth.  At ReCognize, we are designing reliable flooding protocols that are resilient to jamming; in particular, we proposed JIM-Beam, a flooding protocol based on random-orientation of directional antennas.
