The Illinois Distributed Museum <https://distributedmuseum.illinois.edu/> (a project under the University Archives) is looking for content authors. The Illinois Distributed Museum (IDM) is a mix between a traditional and virtual museum that focuses on innovations and innovators that have been on campus. More information on IDM can be found below.
Authors will research and write a short exhibit on an innovation (chosen from a list of pre-approved exhibit topics). The exhibit would then be displayed on our website with their name as the author. I have documents that I send to the students with detailed instructions on uploading their content to the website as well as what should be included in an exhibit.
It is a great opportunity for students to practice researching and writing for a public audience, have their work displayed quickly, and be able to show future employers their work.
