CSIR, MoFA Initiate New Technology to Produce Bakery Products

The Ministry of Agriculture of Ghana has initiated a project meant to develop technology to make composite flour out of various crops including cassava, sweet potato, maize, sorghum, millet, and others. Innovations for Agricultural Value Chains in Africa

The Meridian Institute received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for a project that seeks to identify out-of-the box postharvest management and processing technologies. Guinness and ABL to Set up Processing Plants in Rural Areas

Guinness Ghana Ltd. and Accra Breweries Ltd. will soon start establishing processing plants in rural areas which have farms with huge production of cassava. FG to Establish Cassava, Rice Processing Mills in Oyo

AfDB-Funded Project to Boost Cassava, Rice Production Launched in Tanzania

The African Development Bank launched a multi-national project that seeks to improve the value chains of four important staple crops: maize, wheat, cassava, and rice. Food Processing Curbs Climate Losses for Cameroon’s Women Farmers

In Cameroon, roads also pose serious problems for farmers. Women farmers find that processed agricultural products help prevent heavy PHL that would otherwise occur during the transportation of produce.
