Improving Food Security in Timor-Leste to End ‘Hungry Season’

Timor-Leste is receiving US$5.6 million in grant money from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) for poor maize growing household development. More than 30% of stored maize is lost to rodents and weevils, and the project aims to provide better storage technologies, facilities, and practices. Approximately 23,000 households will be impacted.
