Losing P30 Billion Worth of Rice in Philipines

Facilities for storage and processing are key to reducing PHL in the Philipines. The country is losing P30 billion worth of rice every year due to lack of facilities, a recent report by the Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension stated. With inadequate drying operations, about 408,764 metric tonnes of milled rice, or 4.5 percent of the national production, is lost.
