The Union Minister of State for Food and Consumer Affairs is inaugurating the first Indo-U.S. International Conference on Polymers for Packaging Applications in order to address part of the government’s goal of PHL reduction. The Indian government is hoping to instigate an “Evergreen Revolution,” focused on food processing, the exporting of packaged food to other countries, PHL reduction of grains and produce, and ensuring proper food distribution to the needy.
