A Filipino engineer has developed an invention combating rice PHL, creating a dehumidifier mechanical dryer that can be used in any weather condition, produce high quality food products at a reduced cost, and dry 35 metric tons of palay in only 16 hours. The Daikkah Mechanical Dryer uses a total of 144 kilowatts for the four cycles in the drying process.
