Agriculture in Rwanda: Ownership and Improving Delivery

Rwanda attests to the need for and success of food aid programs at the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, South Korea. Funding from countries such as India and Brazil, food aid programs such as USAID and DFID, and governmental initiatives such as the Plan for the Transformation of Agriculture (II) and the Crop Intensification Program have all worked together to make the country food secure. Rwanda continues to focus on PHL reduction and is making its successes with such programs known to be used as examples of good practice.
