Allerton Park and Retreat Center

The 37th Annual MSP Retreat is held at the Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Monticello. The venue offers attendees delicious catering for meals, charming guest accommodations and comfortable presentation rooms.

Built as a private residence in 1900, today Allerton Park & Retreat Center is a historical treasure owned by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Mansion and Park are listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and one of the American Institute of Architects’ 150 Great Places in Illinois. The Park was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1970.

Allerton also has several activities that partners, spouses, and families can participate in during the retreat in addition to our program. Several bicycles, including a tandem bicycle, are available for loan from the Allerton Park staff for use on the paths and roads in the Allerton Park. A guided tour through the grounds lead by Allerton staff and featuring the gardens and outdoor artwork will be scheduled. Lawn games for use in the grassy areas are also available for loan from the front desk. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
