City Internships (CI) provides immersive experiential education programs for college student and recent graduates.
Their Global Explorer Program centers around an internship placement with a leading company, accompanied by a comprehensive series classes workshops and networking events optimized to enhance a student’s commercial awareness and employability.
More than 65% of CI alumni go on to accept permanent graduate positions with their host company. Moreover, their annual Student Outcomes survey shows that CI alumni gain employment 3 times more quickly and earn 30% than their peers immediately after college.

The program may be attended by undergraduate students (including seniors). And students may choose a program in one of 12 cities globally, with an internship in one of 9 career fields.
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For summer 2017, seven of twelve program destinations are now full and closed to new applicants. Places remain available in the following five program destinations only: New York, London, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Miami (closing soon).

Promise Healthcare is dedicated to improving the health of the community through treatment, prevention, and education. They primarily provide primary care and oral health services to the underserved population within the Champaign county. Their health center currently runs two primary clinics, the Francis Nelson Health Clinic, as well as the SmileHealthy Dental Clinic.
They are currently looking for Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 interns. They offer a broad range of internship opportunities that range from Nursing/Medical Assisting, to Pediatric Services, to Dental Administration and Clinical internships.

- Nursing/Medical Assisting *N.A., E.M.T., M.A., or Registered M.A. certification is required.
- Administration Services *This role requires knowledge of accounting, advanced proficiency in excel, and data analysis (i.e pivot tables, account receivables).
- Dental – Administrative *For their dental clinic they’ll need volunteers for their afternoon administrative shifts.
Interns are distinguished as those who dedicate at least ten hours of work per week. Volunteers are asked to dedicate at least four hours of service per week. Come learn more about Illinois in Washington, an academic internship program open to all Illinois undergraduates. Students live in Washington, DC, for a semester or summer, intern 4 days a week and take U of I classes. Application deadline for spring semester is October 1.
