Opportunity for Undergraduate Students to Edit Student Journal

Peer Review: the Undergraduate Research Journal of the Ethnography of the University Initiative is looking for two undergraduate interns to join its team of student Managing Editors (MEs). Ideally, candidates will have research or writing experience. MEs work with and are mentored by the graduate student Senior Editor, as well as Peer Review’s Advisory Board. MEs will facilitate all stages of the publication process, including: advertising and soliciting submissions; selecting pieces to publish; requesting content and format edits from authors; work one-on-one with authors in the editing process; and copy-edit/format the annual issue for publication. Generally, MEs work an average of 5 hours per week. While this is an unpaid internship, this position may qualify as internship hours toward undergraduate programs (James Scholars, for instance), undergraduate research certificate (through Office of Undergraduate Research), etc. They provide documentation of support upon request.

Interested candidates should provide a cover letter outlining their interest, a current resume, a writing sample showcasing their own work (Max 1000 words) and a reference from a faculty mentor or program administrator (McNair, James Scholars, etc.).
