Jacob Jett, on behalf of himself and authors MJ Han, Tim Cole and Janina Sarol, presented a poster at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). The poster, titled “Disambiguating Descriptions: Mapping Digital Special Collections Metadata into Linked Open Data (LOD) Formats,” detailed challenges of disambiguation when implementing LOD for collections and strategies to overcome it, including robust metadata mapping and clear extensions of said mapping’s vocabulary, where necessary.
