Homage to Adrienne Fontainas is an interdisciplinary festschrift for Belgian bibliophile and art historian, Adrienne Fontainas. Jane co-edited the book with Claude Sorgeloos, Chief curator of the Rare Book Room of the Bibliothèque Royale de BelgiqueThe volume contains twenty-two essays contributed by Belgian, French, and American scholars to honor the memory and work of Adrienne Fontainas (1929-2010). Mestre Publishes “Designing Effective Library Tutorials”

Book coverThis October, Lori Mestre, Head of the Undergraduate Library, published her book, Designing Effective Library Tutorials: A Guide for Accommodating Multiple Learning Styles. According to the publisher, Chandos Publishing,

Searing Wins 2012 ALISE Best Conference Paper Award

Image of Sue SearingCongratulations to Sue Searing for winning the ALISE 2012 Best Conference Paper Award for the second year in a row for her paper, “The Special Collection in Librarianship: Researching the History of Library Science Libraries.” Sue presented this paper at the 2012 ALISE Annual Conference which was themed “Extending Our Reach: Expanding Horizons, Creating Opportunity.” Searing’s article was recently published in the Fall 2012 issue of the Journal of Education for Library & Information Science and she will be presented with the award plaque at the ALISE 2013 Conference in January.
