Where to Find Us: University of Illinois Librarians Presenting at ACRL 2015

The 2015 Biennial Conference of the Association of College & Research Libraries will include presentations by University of Illinois Library faculty and academic professionals on topics including reference services, data management, technical services, the digital humanities, area studies librarianship, and more.

The University of Illinois Library showed the campus the research it does at its recent 2014 Library Research Showcase (Couldn’t make it? Posters and videos of lightning talks are archived in IDEALS!). That was just a peek into the world of research achievements here, and the rest of the fall saw library faculty and academic professionals traveling the world presenting on a wide range of topics. These presentations included research, and librarian-led workshops that let others benefit from the work we do at Illinois. Join Us! Second Annual Library Research Showcase (November 12, 2014, 12:30-4pm)

The University Library invites the campus community and friends of the library to its Second Annual Library Research Showcase from 12:30-4PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Library faculty and academic professionals will present their research, which impacts a wide variety of library services as well as the global LIS profession and other scholarly fields. At the Showcase, you’ll find posters, tech demos, and lightning talks on digital humanities, the ethics of archives, information seeking behaviors, preservation both digital and analog, data, and more. A welcome and opening remarks by Dean of Libraries John Wilkin will precede the lightning talks.
