Susanne Belovari Awarded Sophie Coe Prize
Susanne Belovari, Assistant Professor and Archivist for Faculty Papers at the University Library, has been awarded the Sophie Coe Prize by the Oxford Food & Cookery Symposium for her article The Viennese Cuisine before Hitler–‘One Cuisine in the Use of Two Nations’. The Oxford Food Symposium is the oldest and most respected food symposium globally and awards the annual Sophie Coe Prize for food history, the longest-running and most generous prize for food history (in English).

Lesli Lundquist Awarded 2020 CDSA
Lesli Lundquist, the Facilities Operations Coordinator for the University Library, has been awarded the Chancellor’s Distinguished Staff Award (CDSA). The CDSA is designed to “annually recognize civil service staff employees for their exceptional accomplishments and service to the university.” This prestigious award results from an outstanding performance by Lundquist and seven fellow civil service staff employees. Sara Benson Receives ILA Crosman Memorial Award
The Illinois Library Association (ILA) announces Sara Benson, Copyright Librarian and Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), as the 2020 Crosman Memorial Award Winner. The Crosman Award is named in memory of Alex Crosman, director of the Peoria Public Library at the time of his death in 1986. The Crosman Memorial Award, presented by the ILA Awards Committee and Dominican University SOIS, recognizes the achievements of library workers who are new or relatively new to the field and encourages continued involvement in the profession. This award honors Benson, someone who has accomplished a great deal in a short time.
