Spring 2025 Professional Service by Library Faculty and Academic Professionals

Beginning in Spring 2025, we will begin a new series alongside our triannual recognition of Presentations and Publications by Library Faculty and Academic Professionals, recognizing Professional Service.

We would like to congratulate and recognize the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Library faculty and academic professionals on the leadership they provide beyond our campus. Mary Schlembach Invited to Royal Society of London Conference

Mary Schlembach, Head of the Chemistry Library and Professor at the University Library, has been invited to the Royal Society of London’s Future of Scientific Publishing Conference. This invitation-only event will be held in mid-July and is chaired by Sir Mark Walport, Fellow of the Royal Society. The conference convenes stakeholders in science and publishing communities to improve mutual understanding, develop shared priorities, foster collaboration, and consider possible major disruptions in scientific publishing in the next 15 years.
