As the spring semester draws to a close for current transfer students, a few of us are getting ready to welcome some new additions to our LAS family. Each semester LAS hosts Admitted Transfer Student Days which allow admitted transfer students a day to learn more about their intended major, the campus, and meet some current students.
I am very glad I attended my own Admitted Transfer Student Day, because it allowed me to meet many of the people who would be helping me throughout the following semesters at UIUC. I also met some really amazing students who were very helpful and eased my transition from a community college to a Big 10 university. Many of us at TAG volunteered to help students register for their first classes to do just that. TAG members just want to make sure that your transition goes as smoothly as possible so that you are successful in your endeavors here. It’s a great opportunity to meet a variety of people on campus.
