Postdoctoral Associate Position now available:

A postdoctoral associate position is currently available in Dr. Kai Zhang’s laboratory of the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The Zhang group focuses on studying intracellular signaling transduction and aims to elucidate signaling mechanisms under normal and disease conditions including cancers and neurodegenerative diseases. We employ multi-disciplinary approaches that integrate genetic and protein engineering, microfluidics, mammalian and primary cell culturing, and live cell imaging to understand signaling mechanisms in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. For more information about the laboratory visit our web site.

Highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in signal transduction are encouraged to apply. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds including biochemistry, biophysics, and cell/neuron biology. Prior experience with any of the following topics is useful but not required: genetic/protein engineering, biochemistry, mammalian/primary cell-based assays, fluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging, and microfluidics.

Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. within the past 5 years and/or by the start date. Applicants should send CV to Dr. Kai Zhang at kaizkaiz@illinois.edu
