We are the Illinois Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).  The AAFP is a professional organization of veterinarians who share an interest in providing excellence in the care and treatment of cats.

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of cats by supporting high standards of practice, continuing education, and scientific investigation.

The AAFP seeks to raise the standards of feline medicine and surgery among practitioners by sharing knowledge, rewarding advancement in research, sponsoring continuing education, and encouraging veterinary student interest in feline practice. The AAFP has established student affiliate chapters at schools of veterinary medicine throughout North America. Through these chapters, veterinary students are introduced to the goals and objectives of the AAFP.
