Biography

Izak’s research interests focus on constitutive modeling of damage in flexible pavements and numerical analysis. He worked in the team that developed a new tool to predict the impact of Wide-Base Tires on New Brunswick roads. Izak received the Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Graduate Research Award for the academic year of 2017-2018. Izak’s research proposal that earned him the award focuses on the development of a framework, which allows for a holistic evaluation of airport pavements based on structural and environmental performance. Izak is currently the vice president and engineering council representative of the University of Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Transportation.
