Human Resource Development (HRD) 
is the study of the bodies of knowledge and the applied processes used to improve workplace performance and individual learning in organizations. Human resource development occurs in a range of business sectors, including: manufacturing, financial services, health case, and higher education, among many situations both nationally and internationally.

Depending on the academic credential, HRD job roles include: trainers, program designers, evaluators, managers, consultants, leaders, researchers, and policy-makers.

The Human Resource Development at EPOL has four degree programs:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Learning and Education Studies (LES) with an Emphasis in Workplace Training and Development
  2. Master of Education in Human Resource Development (on-campus and online)
  3. Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Human Resource Development (online)
  4. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Human Resource Development (on-campus)
