Biography
I am a PhD Candidate in the Neuroscience Program here at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am passionate about understanding the neural correlates of human movement. In particular, I am interested in how we integrate sensory information for the purposes of motor control. My goal is to utilize these principles for rehabilitation device design and performance enhancement.
Projects
- Perception vs. action for obstacle crossing while wearing firefighter protective gear
- Modulation of gait initiation in Parkinson’s disease using a portable powered ankle-foot orthosis
- Integration of industrial design and engineering for device design of adaptive systems http://ideasfp.beckman.illinois.edu/
Research Interest
- Neuromechanics
- Sensorimotor systems
- Neuroplasticity
- Motor control and learning
Personal Interests
