Biography
My dissertation research examines the biomechanical consequences of body size differences in humans via gait biomechanics and analysis of subchondral and trabecular bone microstructure. I am interested in both the evolution of human locomotion (and its associated anatomy) as well as modern patterns of movement and biomechanics. I work with interdisciplinary teams in Anthropology and Mechanical Engineering and incorporate aspects of both disciplines in my research.
Research Interests
- Gait biomechanics
- Bone microstructure
- Human evolutionary anatomy
- Functional morphology
Personal Interests
I love reading and talking walks. I also have a lot of houseplants.
