Introduction

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I work with Dr. Ryan Sriver as a research assistant, and I have been pursuing my PhD degree since December, 2014.

My research interests include Earth system modeling, climate dynamics, tropical cyclones, climate change and variability. My current research focus is about improving our understanding of the relationship between tropical cyclones and the Earth system using the state-of-the-art high resolution Earth System Models.

I am interested in using high performance computing and 3D visualization techniques to aid scientific understanding.  I have a graduate concentration in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), and I am affiliated with the Earth & Environment group of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
