Where Will You Send Submissions?

What Are We Asking For?

  • Editorial Articles about Current Work Experience
    • Tell us about your practicum, graduate assistantship, or another job in the information profession!
  • Commentary on Current Issues in the Field
    • Are there cutting-edge trends you’re excited about? Technologies or websites that you think everyone should check out? Areas where you think the LIS field as a whole should improve? We want to know!
  • Event Experience
    • Tell us about a session that you can’t stop thinking about from a recent conference!
    • Have you presented anywhere? Share the highlights of your presentation!
    • Tell us about a lecture the rest of us may have missed!

What Should Your Submission Look Like?

  • We are not looking for heavy research papers but we do encourage you to flesh out your own thoughts with research of other perspectives in the field.
  • We welcome submissions that cross mediums. If you would like to include hyperlinks, photos, or videos be sure to have secured permissions for access and use and bear with us as we work with you to upload the additional content.
  • If you are unsure, send us a proposal. We are happy to take a look and encourage you or help steer you in a new direction.
  • Please follow the Modern Language Association Citation Style Guide (MLA).

Please Include:

  • Name, graduation date, focus of studies (if applicable)
  • Title and Focus of Article (1 sentence)
  • Target Audience (1 sentence)
  • Article (Target 900 words)
  • All of these elements should appear in a Word document attached to your submission email.
