Publication Policies

Submitting material

To submit material to InfoBlitz, send submissions to gslis.infoblitz@gmail.com. This account is checked by the editors and after being received your submission will move into the review process.

Review Process

The editors of GSLIS InfoBlitz are masters candidates in the Library and Information Science program at the University of Illinois. Three staff editors will review your submission. If the content of your submission is outside their area of specialty it may be sent to an additional editor with specialization in that area outside the editorial team. After completion of the review process, you will be notified of your acceptance status before the article is published in the journal.

Criteria

Acceptance of material is based on quality of writing, appropriateness of content, adherence to submission standards, originality, and contribution to discourse. After the review process you may be asked to make revisions to your submission based on editorial feedback. If your submission is not accepted, editors will provide rationale as to why it was not appropriate for the publication.

Publication

Upon acceptance, your work will be published here on the Publish Illinois website. New additions will be published on a rolling basis of when they come in. Articles will be published after the review process is finished, or after any necessary revisions have taken place and the article resubmitted. Although InfoBlitz strives to move submissions quickly through the publication process, please recognize that the time frame may vary based on the number of submissions being reviewed.
