Paper to advance the acquisition of data during extreme events

Ph.D. students Antonio Zaldivar, Jason Lopez, and Justin Nevill, and Prof. Lombardo published a new paper at the Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics titled “Development and validation of a mobile bluff-body to understand extreme wind loading”. The paper is a significant step forward in measuring wind loading from atmospheric vortices, and details the design, construction, and testing of a portable bluff-body that can be deployed in extreme wind environments.
