I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Before that I was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Mathematics of University of Southern California, under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Tartakovsky.

I received my Ph.D. in Statistics at Columbia University in August 2010, under the supervision of Prof. George V. Moustakides and Prof. Ioannis Karatzas.

I did my undergraduate studies at the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the National Technical University of Athens.

  • Sequential hypothesis testing; Quickest change detection; Sequential parameter estimation; Sequential design.
  • Decision making under communication constraints.
  • Educational measurement and cognitive assessment.
  • Epidemic detection.
