Larry Fahnestock attended the international conference STESSA – Behavior of Steel Structures in Seismic Areas and presented the paper “Seismic Stability of Buckling-Restrained Braced Frames,” which was co-authored with former MS student Santiago Zaruma. Santiago is now a practicing structural engineer with ADSTREN in Quito, Ecuador. Robert Tremblay (Polytechnique Montreal) presented the paper “Contribution of Beam-Column Connections with Bolted Angles in the Reserve Capacity and Full-Scale Cyclic Testing,” which documents research that was part of an international collaborative project on seismic stability of low-ductility braced frames. All papers presented at STESSA are published online at Scientific.Net.
