Summer Scholars is a program available to all incoming first-year engineering students who complete high school graduation by June 6, 2019. Get a jump-start on college, meet new friends, and get acclimated to campus all before the fall semester. This program is focused on providing you with a successful transition to Illinois, enhancing your leadership skills, increasing your academic performance for the first-year, and giving you the opportunity to explore your interests and passions. This program allows you to not wait until Fall 2019 to begin your college experience, but start in the summer.

Begin dreaming big together at these fun events!

12:00 – 1:00 PM: Pick up your free t-shirt and explore resources for your college career.

1:00 – 2:00 PM: Join faculty, alumni, student leaders, and all 1500 of your classmates for your official welcome to the College of Engineering!

2:00 – 4:00 PM: Move to the Bardeen Quad and join us for food, inflatables, a tug-of-war competition, music, games, and more!
