Overview

Join us for Discovery Day on Sept. 24, 2017!

The day will begin at 10 a.m. in the Lincoln Hall Theater, 702 S. Wright St., Urbana. Register online to attend.

This event hosted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will give you the chance to learn about how you can change the world with a liberal arts and sciences education!

Discovery Day has a full agenda. You’ll hear from professors in a variety of academic disciplines discussing real world issues, such as:

  • sustainability, energy, and the environment
  • inequality and cultural understanding
  • global health and wellness

You’ll learn about LAS majors and career opportunities, and get the chance to eat lunch in a campus dining hall. You’ll meet current students – ask them questions about what it’s like to be a student in LAS and how their degree is helping them reach their academic and professional goals.

Finally, you’ll find out more information about the admissions process and how you can become a student in the College of LAS.

LAS Discovery Day is designed for high-school seniors. We welcome students to bring no more than two guests to this event. Space is limited and event registration will close when capacity is reached. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact us at (217) 333-1705 or las-newstudent@illinois.edu.
