In this society, if you do not have social media you may be considered an outcast. Cellphones have been in emergence for almost a decade, but with the constant release of smartphones, tablets, and laptops, young people are spending a significant amount of time on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram allowing them to withdrawal from the world.

A Journey Toward Technological Confidence

You don’t have to know it all before you begin . . . 

Coming into Multimedia Reporting, I had absolutely zero experience with using media. In fact, I hated technology! I could barely take a video on my phone, let alone use a video camera. And the recorder? I had avoided using it up until this point in my college career, and I now I was going to regret it. This class had me petrified.
