I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I work in the field of experimental nanoscale mechanics. My current research at the Nanomechanics and Materials Research Laboratory involves understanding the mechanics of deformation of nanofiber networks.
I completed my PhD in August 2017 from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the guidance of Prof. Ioannis Chasiotis. During my PhD, I worked on piezoelectric PbZr0.48Ti0.52O3 (PZT) thin films and my PhD dissertation entitled “Electromechanical response of textured ferroelectric PZT thin film stacks” can be found here.
I completed my Masters of Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore under the guidance of Prof. Atul Chokshi and Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata under the guidance of Prof. Pravash Chakraborti.
