Registration is now closed for our 25th annual competition and workshops on October 19 and 20, 2013 (competition Saturday, workshops Sunday morning).
You can still drop/add events at the welcome dance Friday night and at the competition Saturday.
This year’s fun and beginner-friendly competition will conform better to other events with changes including all four styles (Smooth, Standard, Rhythm, Latin) at each of the standard levels (Newcomer, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Novice, Prechamp, Champ). In addition, we will be using o2cm onsite electronic scoring this year which will allow competitors to view callbacks and judging marks from any mobile device (via live.o2cm.com). Furthermore, we will be using a larger floor than in the past and we have opened up the beautiful South Lounge of the Union to the Illini Rooms to provide for more space for competitors.
Fees paid by check must be postmarked on or before October 8 to avoid a late fee at the door. Fees may be paid online at any time but prices have increased to reflect late fees starting October 12. Our online payment system is new so please do not wait until the last minute!
Crash space is available on a first-come first-serve basis by emailing didancesportinvitational2013@gmail.com. This is a football weekend so the few remaining rooms at local hotels can be very expensive. We suggest checking the newly refurbished Urbana Landmark Hotel or staying somewhere slightly out of town. Whatever you decide, make your reservations early!
