Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program students placed third in the Cyber Security Awareness Week Policy competition last week. Law students Bradley Williams, Katie Kramer, and Magdala Boyer represented the University of Illinois at the event.

CSAW is the largest student-run cyber security event in the nation, featuring six competitions, keynote presentations, workshops, and an industry fair. It was held at NYU in Brooklyn Nov. 10-12.

The Illinois Cyber Security Scholars Program, an NSF-funded program that is open to computer science, computer engineering and law students, trains participants in how to protect the nation’s cyber infrastructure by designing more secure systems, methodologies, and policies.
