Madeline is a Junior majoring in Linguistics with a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures. She has been studying Japanese since high school, and studies Korean as well. Likewise, she is interested in Japanese-Korean relations as well as the globalization of these cultures in America. She hopes to use her research in Linguistics and East Asian culture to help bring the two cultures together, in addition to bringing them closer to America. After graduation, she intends to move to Japan and engage in research and activities to help bridge the gaps between these three cultures through both language and business, with an ultimate goal of popularizing East Asian culture in America
