Jesse Thomas earned his Master’s of Urban Planning while focusing on land use and transportation. He researched the historical context, spatial context, urban design elements of the 2011 Arab Spring places of protests in order to provide recommendations for improved public space in the Middle East and North Africa region. His love of Arabic has been longstanding and he hopes that his continued language study helps him work on planning projects in the Middle East or with Arabic speaking immigrant communities.
