Adrienne Seely is a graduate student in Information Science. Her doctoral research in Cinema & Media Studies (University of Chicago, 2014) examined the ways in which early multitrack film sound technologies modeled auscultative practices for viewer/hearers, attuning them to perceive aural and other atmospherically-mediated phenomena in a processual, rhythmanalytic manner proleptic of habits of visual-media reception that have since become normative in the digital era. Her interest in the operation of digital networks as ubiquitous informatic and mediatic systems encouraged her further research into international conceptualizations of information, and she studies Czech in this context.
