This video is awesome! It really helps put the life of early modern England into perspective. I think its incredible how justice was based barely on facts. Also, the video shows how education has increased tremendously. People in the early modern era were quick to believe what others said and go with what the public flow. I find it interesting how charges of the crime of witchcraft were only levied against women who were imagined as breaking out of the social conventions of patriarchal control. The witch torture punishments are meant to realign women back to their traditional silenced roles.
