Seminar Description

Your reputation is the single greatest asset that you will ever possess,” said one of our recent Gies Business graduates. The session will focus on how to (1) use course/assignment design strategies to cultivate and support student integrity, (2) integrate the online training module on Academic Integrity for Gies Business students into your course site, and (3) leverage “match detection” software.

This seminar will explore pedagogic strategies, training and awareness resources, and eLearning tools to support Academic Integrity (with a special focus on plagiarism, cheating, complicity, and fabrication), detect infractions, and take appropriate action if and when violations do occur. Our goal is to assist students in reaching high levels of personal standards. We invite you to bring your laptop and/or device with webcam to participate in this informative and hands-on session.

The seminar will showcase the work of Gies Business faculty in this important effort which not only impacts our student’s academic success but extends into their professional like as well. The staff from the eLearning team will be present to answer your questions and assist you in planning the next steps for inclusion of tools and strategies within your own course.
