About

The 5th Biophotonics Summer School (BSS) is a two-week event aimed at training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with research interests at the interface between optics and biomedicine. The BSS combines lectures with hands-on practical and computational labs, delivered by experts in the field.

Tuition and lodging are free for qualified students who are accepted by March 20.

Accepted students pay a registration fee of $250.

In the past, the BSS has had attendees from more than 15 countries. The selection process is competitive, based on the student’s record and the likelihood of high impact that the BSS will have on one’s career.
