The program provides students the opportunity to broaden their understanding of diversity and social justice issues. Through training courses, students will learn how to facilitate and develop interactive learning programs in the form of workshops.

Are you interested in working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting?
PSYC 340-341 is a year-long service learning course in which students intern at Cunningham Children’s Home, an Urbana residential treatment facility serving children with severe emotional/behavioral problems. Youth are between ages 10 and 17 years.
Internship opportunities include:
Teacher’s aides at on-campus schools
Group Home intern
Recreational Therapist intern
Other placements are occasionally available at the discretion of the agency. This is a year-long sequence. You must commit to taking both PSYC 340 (Fall) and PSYC 341 (Spring).

Learn more about this great opportunity and apply to work at Cunningham Children’s Home for the 2016-2017 academic year. Through your involvement in the program, you can earn course credit in PSYC 340 and PSYC 341.
Interviews will be conducted on Monday, April 4, and Tuesday, April 5.
