Kostas Yfantis
Kostas has been the Assistant Director for ATLAS-Teaching & Learning with Technology since January 2016. He also works part-time as a swim instructor at the Urbana Park District. Before ATLAS, he worked for a software start-up company in Silicon Valley and served in the armed forces. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration. In his free time, Kostas enjoys swimming and cooking for family and friends. His overall dream is to meet as many different cultures and people as possible, and his dream destination is Folegandros, Greece.
Anya Kanevskaya
Anya is a Visiting Educational Technology Specialist at ATLAS-TLT. She has been a full-time employee since November 2018. Before that, she interned for two years as a student. Outside of work, Anya enjoys having brunch and petting dogs. Her favorite show is American Horror Story.
Graduate Students
Peter Tijerina
Peter has been an Education Technology Specialist at ATLAS-TLT for two years. He is working on a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Performance. Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time with his daughter and watching Netflix dramas. His nonet regularly plays swingin’ jazz tunes at the Iron Post.
Natalie Lloyd
Natalie has been an Education Technology Specialist at ATLAS-TLT for two years. She is working on a PhD in Chinese Religion in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, focusing on Buddhist meditation and emotion. Natalie generally enjoys time with her family, going on walks, and studying languages.
Kamal Singh
Kamal has been an Education Technology Specialist at ATLAS-TLT since Spring 2020. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics. He enjoys playing and analyzing chess games, drinking coffee and listening to music.
